Privacy Policy
Effective March 1, 2026
1. Overview
Liminal ("the App") is a macOS screenshot utility. It is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
2. Information We Collect
None. Specifically:
- No personal information
- No usage analytics or telemetry
- No crash reports
- No cookies or tracking
- No account creation
- No network requests
3. Local Data Storage
Screenshots and history are stored locally on your device in the Application Support directory. This data never leaves your Mac. You can delete it at any time from within the App.
4. Screen Recording
The App requires the macOS Screen Recording permission to capture screenshots. This permission is managed by macOS System Settings and can be revoked at any time. The App uses this permission solely for capture functionality you initiate.
5. Clipboard Access
The App accesses your clipboard only when you explicitly use the paste-as-pin feature. Clipboard contents are processed locally and never transmitted.
6. Third-Party Services
Liminal does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
7. Children's Privacy
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above. Since we collect no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
